Oatmeal Bake
This warm and comforting oatmeal bake is made with hearty oats, cinnamon, and your choice of chocolate chips or fruit for a delicious make-ahead breakfast or snack. Soft, lightly sweetened, and easy to customize, it’s perfect served on its own or topped with maple syrup and Greek yogurt.
Recipe
This recipe makes 5-6 servings
Ingredients:
Dry:
2 cups oats
2 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
½ cup of chocolate chips
Wet:
1 ¾ cups milk of choice
⅓ cup maple syrup or brown sugar
3 tbsp oil
1 egg
Equipment:
Mixing bowls
Measuring cups and spoons
Mixing spoon or spatula
Baking dish
Oven mitts + oven
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients together.
In a separate bowl, whisk all wet ingredients together.
Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
Fold in your chosen mix-ins (berries, chocolate chips, or both).
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Bake for 35 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Enjoy with maple syrup, greek yougrt or as is!
Store in air tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
