Oatmeal Bake

This warm and comforting oatmeal bake is made with hearty oats, cinnamon, and your choice of chocolate chips or fruit for a delicious make-ahead breakfast or snack. Soft, lightly sweetened, and easy to customize, it’s perfect served on its own or topped with maple syrup and Greek yogurt.

Recipe

This recipe makes 5-6 servings

Ingredients:

Dry:

  • 2 cups oats

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ cup of chocolate chips

Wet:

  • 1 ¾ cups milk of choice

  • ⅓ cup maple syrup or brown sugar

  • 3 tbsp oil

  • 1 egg

Equipment:

  • Mixing bowls

  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • Mixing spoon or spatula

  • Baking dish

  • Oven mitts + oven

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  3. In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients together.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk all wet ingredients together.

  5. Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until combined.

  6. Fold in your chosen mix-ins (berries, chocolate chips, or both).

  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

  8. Bake for 35 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

  9. Enjoy with maple syrup, greek yougrt or as is!

    Storage:

  • Store in air tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
