Ingredients:
Ingredients (per jar):
1/3 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup milk of choice
1/3 cup fruit of choice
2 tsp maple syrup or brown sugar (optional)
1/3 cup yogurt (optional)
1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Total Ingredients (for 5 jars):
1 ⅔ cups rolled oats
1 ⅔ cups milk of choice
1 ⅔ cups fruit of choice
10 tsp maple syrup or brown sugar (optional)
1 ⅔ cups yogurt (optional)
1 1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)
2 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Equipment:
5 containers or jars
Measuring cups and spoons
Knife and cutting board
Directions:
Add oats – Place 1/3 cup rolled oats into each jar.
Pour milk – Add 1/3 cup milk of choice to each.
Mix in flavors – Stir in sweetener, cinnamon, and vanilla if using.
Add yogurt – Spoon in 1/3 cup yogurt (optional).
Top with fruit – Add 1/3 cup fruit of choice to each jar.
Stir & seal – Mix gently, close lids, and refrigerate overnight (at least 4 hours).
Enjoy – Eat cold straight from the jar, or warm in the microwave if preferred
Storage:
Your overnight oats can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days but is best eaten within the first 2 days.
Note: The longer it sits in the fridge the softer and soggier they get.
