Thank you Schad Foundation!

Summerlunch+ is pleased to announce that the Schad Foundation has generously donated $31,000 to support the launch of a pilot partnership with Girl Guides of Canada.

At summerlunch+ our mission is to grow great kids by providing a comprehensive cooking and nutrition education program where the child drives positive lifestyle changes within the family home.  The partnership with Girl Guides of Canada will investigate the opportunity to work with girls in Toronto, focusing on food as a tool for good physical and mental health.  Our program will assess not only the impact of our learning curriculum on girls, but also the potential to scale to other provinces.

The $31,000 raised will go directly towards funding the program's activities, including the procurement of food supplies, meal preparation, distribution logistics, and engaging activities for the participating children. GGC’s commitment to empowering young women aligns perfectly with the goals of summerlunch+, and we are grateful for their support and collaboration.
