Q: What is your favourite subject?

A: Favourite Subject: Math – It teaches me problem-solving skills. I also love to read books and my favourite books are the Harry Potter series. These are very intriguing stories because of their adventurous encounters.

Q: What is your favourite food?

A: Pizza – I love pizza since it is very cheesy and it is healthy because it can be topped with a variety of vegetables.

Q: What is your favourite sport?

A: Table tennis – It improves my hand/eye coordination and also it helps to stimulate brain function

Q: What is your favourite recipe and why? What did you enjoy the most when making this

recipe?

A: My favourite recipe was the Cinnamon French Toast Crunch with Berries. I loved the crunch from the cornflakes and the aroma and taste of cinnamon. Furthermore, the wholewheat bread, brown sugar, and lots of fruit made this a very yummy and healthy breakfast. I enjoyed crushing the cornflakes, the smell of cinnamon, and cutting a variety of fruits when making this recipe.

Q: What was something new you learned during the summerlunch+ program?

A: I learned how to cook flavourful, healthy meals. Furthermore, I also learned how to have a balanced diet which gives the body vitamins and nutrients that it needs.

Q: What is your favourite part of the program and why?

A: My favourite part of the summerlunch+ program is to join the Friday afternoon calls and cook with Meghan and the rest of the team. I also look forward to the new recipes which appear on Wednesdays of every week. Cooking the items is also a very good learning experience for me. In addition, I enjoy eating the items and then analyzing what I could have done better to improve my dish the next time I make it.

Q: Have you shared what you learned with others? Who have you shared learning with? Do you share the meals you make with others? And if so, who?

A: I have shared what I have learned in this program with my parents and grandparents and they love to see my creations. I also share what I have learned with my school friends and show them all the recipes that I have made. Some of my friends even ask me to go to their houses to teach them how to make different dishes. I share the meals that I make with many people; my parents, my grandparents, some friends from school, and the community.
