Activity Type: Ongoing Lunch Time Education
- Go through the Foodland Ontario availability guide and read out all the foods that grow locally during the current month. Alternatively, pass around a printed copy and have each student read one fruit/vegetable.
- As the students eat, ask them to identify any foods that are growing locally in Ontario in the current month on their plate.
- Mark down a point for each local food item we’re serving.
- At the end of the week, count up all the points. Did we have local foods every day?
